The Sacred Heart school team, San Javier has imposed a tight end, at the IES "Ruiz de Alda", San Javier-Gymkhana Competition that on the history of Santiago de la Ribera was held this morning at the center "Prince of Asturias", organized by the departments of Education and Youth, to mark the 125th anniversary of the town.
The two participating centers were represented by a team of eight students from the four courses Secondary Education.
Both proved to have a great knowledge of both the history and present of Santiago de la Ribera along the dozens of questions that were asked in the four parts of the contest.
History, parties, naming of streets, squares and neighborhoods, sports, commercial and catering establishments, and customs of the locality which this year celebrates the 125th anniversary of its creation, were the topics on which students answered the format of television game shows, some classics like "1,2, 3" or the current "Pasapalabra".
The Councillor for Education, CATI Perez, who served as master of ceremonies, the Councillor for Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa, and pedánea mayor of Santiago de la Ribera, Julia Gallut, were responsible for delivering the prizes consisted of a tablet for each member of the winning team, and a digital camera for the second as well as a gift to their respective schools for their cooperation.
