The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez Pastor received today at City Hall to the 138 freshmen of the General Air Academy who came to the traditional municipal reception accompanied by Colonel AGA director Emilio Gracia and squadron leader, Vilchez commander, in a ceremony attended by a broad representation of the municipal corporation and other military authorities.
The students, 90 of the General, future officers of the Air Force, and 48 of the Common Corps of Defense, who are passing through the AGA in military training, are from now "residents of San Javier" just considered as the Mayor of San Javier, at the end of his speech.
Juan Martinez summarized the history of the municipality of San Javier where future Air Force officers will spend up to five years during his military training, and stressed the importance of OGP in the future of the municipality.
The mayor said "the close ties between the two institutions" that promised to continue caring.
Martinez recalled the recent tribute to the AGA Hall within the events of the 125th anniversary of Santiago de la Ribera and thanked the colonel his interest to involve the military in the program of commemorative events such prominent acts as civilian visits to military compound, or the massive swearing-in ceremony in the forecourt Barnuevo civil.
Colonel AGA director, Emilio Gracia said also its commitment to continue to collaborate and strengthen ties between the municipality and the AGA "have always gone hand in hand" and stressed "the benefits of a city that always welcomes us with love "
During the official reception held in the hall of the Town Hall, one of the students thanked the reception on behalf of his teammates prior to an exchange of gifts between the two institutions.
Subsequently made an offering to the Patron, St. Francis Xavier, to continue his visit to the Municipal Museum, the sports center, the auditorium and the Almansa Park.
