Equality Councillor, Celia Martinez today announced the program of activities organized to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women to be held in San Javier from 25 to 30 November, with special attention to young people, and day of awareness and training for local police and civil guard in the whole region, entitled "Prevention, intervention and coordination on gender violence."
The mayor Celia Martinez was accompanied by the Councillor for Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa, psychologist, Juana Fuentes and General Counsel, Africa Escudero, workers, both CAVI (Centre Services for Women Victims of Violence), San Javier, who have worked closely in organizing the program also includes talks, the traditional flower delivery, theater, and a day of leisure with a Zumba class and a guided tour by ferry along the Mar Menor.
Masegosa Estíbaliz stressed the importance of involving youth in a subject that increasingly affects you more as gender violence.
The San Javier youth correspondents, who have worked extensively on the subject, again from the hand of CAVI psychologist, Juan Fuentes to address it in their schools and with their peers through Monday November 25.
Juan Fuentes, especially involved in the young field CAVI recalled that San Javier is the only one in the region that has a specific program of teenagers.
"Among young people are much more abuse than we can imagine," said the psychologist who presented with the kids the blog "my boyfriend normal controls."
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez will be in charge of reading the manifesto institutional morning November 26 at a ceremony in which observe a minute of silence, and that will be accompanied by live music in collaboration with the Conservatory, to finish with a flower delivery.
The local police and civil guards are summoned to the day on Wednesday November 27 from 09:00 h.
