The Association of Civil Protection Volunteers of San Javier AMPA recently collaborated with the school "Fulgencio Ruiz" in Santiago de la Ribera actively participating in a talk to teachers and families on "Choking and CPR" held at the center.
The talk, intended as the first of a series of quotations related to the health of the little ones, came at the initiative of AMPA through one of its members, physicians SUE, M ª Ángeles Fernández, who dealt with the theoretical .
San Javier Civil Protection provided material involving 6 volunteers from the local cluster to perform practical demonstrations, including the operation of the automated external defibrillator.
Teachers and parents attended the talk, which was also attended by the Councillor for Education, Cati Pérez, in which two of the most common situations in which children can reverse some choking danger, against which one must know how addressed react, or fading that may require quick decisive intervention in resuscitation.
This activity is part of the nature of the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers dedicated not only to the intervention in emergencies but also to the dissemination and promotion of preventive behaviors, and first aid care, which can be very helpful, applied in the first few minutes of any accident.
Expanding on this line, the Association of Civil Defence Volunteers, who has already participated in similar talks at schools, held on Saturday the First Conference First Aid aimed at the general population, at the sports center of San Javier, from 10:00 h.
