The mayor, Juan Martínez Pastor presided this morning the creation of the Municipal Bureau of Tourism and Commerce of San Javier, "an organ that allows establishing and coordinating the plural participation of all sectors involved in the tourist and commercial development of the municipality."

The mayors of Tourism, Antonio Martínez Turrets and Trade, Pedro López exercise of vice president of the Bureau of Tourism and Commerce which is composed of representatives from each municipal political group of trade associations of San Javier, Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga, and hotel business sectors, water sports, and hospitality, both of La Manga and the continental area of ​​the municipality.

Also part of the Bureau, the pedáneas mayors of Santiago de la Ribera, Julia Gallut, and La Manga del Mar Menor, Rosa Dos Santos and technicians both localities Tourism and Local Development municipal technician.

The Bureau, which held 4 ordinary sessions every year the months of January, March, June and September, in addition to any special meetings, will serve as a collegial and consultative body, participation, cooperation and assistance in planning, monitoring and evaluation projects and initiatives related to tourism and commercial development in the municipality of San Javier.

The Councillor for Tourism, Antonio Martínez highlighted the technical and participatory nature of the new body, which will allow us to join forces, and especially to maintain a direct line between business and the administration which raise, discuss and develop appropriate proposals for any party, with the ultimate aim of promoting the tourism sector, the commercial sector and in general all the services sector.

The Councillor of Commerce, Pedro López stressed the importance of creating a joint table of two councils shared goals as tourism and trade as well as the presence of all, both political parties and individuals.

Lopez also expressed his desire to be an active and effective in finding solutions and achieving results organ.
