Councilwoman Volunteering, Cati Perez thanked the work being done by volunteers from San Javier in the traditional Christmas meeting held recently at the cultural center "Prince of Asturias" in Santiago de la Ribera.
The meeting, which were performances, exhibitions, video summary of activities, and which ended with a potluck dinner, attended by 150 volunteers who develop their work through the Volunteer Department and the Time Bank.
The mayor, Cati Perez thanked the volunteers for their selfless work, helping others without receiving anything in return, in a fun and festive atmosphere in which the volunteers had the opportunity to meet and develop relations group.
The day began with a performance by Gema Jimenez carols playing transverse flute, various workshops hosted performances of the Time Bank as the pilgrims' choir and a dance group.
Another volunteer, Alfonso Fernández del Toro, produced a video with images of the activities that have been conducted over the course of the first quarter, and photos with texts thank volunteers for their work.
Workshops patchwork fofuchas, sewing, cross stitch, beads and patterned tin and fabric painting, also had the opportunity to exhibit their work, they were seen by the audience before the dinner of the best recipes contributed by the volunteers themselves.
The Department of Volunteer dessert provided to close an evening that ended with a flower and a Christmas wish for each individual volunteer, in the farewell.
