The Action Plan for Sustainable Energy (PAES) of San Javier and marches on Thursday celebrated the second day of citizen participation in the proposals made by citizens on measures considered most successful were collected to implement the municipality of San Javier, in order to comply with municipal emissions reduction targets of CO2 to the atmosphere.
The contributions of citizens focused on the defense of photovoltaic technology in transport and electric vehicles, both private and public areas.

They also agreed on the need to promote awareness campaigns, incentives and civic education.
Citizens made their contributions in the form of anonymous survey, and also electronically selecting the 12 most interesting actions among those proposed in the PAES, considering the level of investment required and the results in terms of saving emissions, among other issues.
Citizens could also make their own proposals on a day in which he also discussed biomass, and incentives in the private sector as a way to promote alternative energy.
From City Hall, Councillor for the Environment, Celia Martinez, stressed the importance of citizen participation and that the City, acting on the public sector would be arriving only 5 percent of the emissions of the municipality, so that the work most important must be done from the private sector.
The meeting ended with the location of the third and final day of the Plan of Action for the Sustainable Energy of the municipality in which the revised with the inclusion of the contributions of citizens Plan will be presented, as well as measures that are already into force.
The event is scheduled for the end of June in the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week.
