The Department of Consumer Affairs has initiated a program of "Consumer Education in Schools" to reach thousands of students in the town, students of 3rd ESO of IES "Sacred Heart", "Mar Menor" and "Ruiz de Alda "and Aidemar students.
The project has among its main objectives is to increase consumer awareness of young people as well as knowledge of the rights and duties they have as consumers.
It also aims to develop a critical attitude towards the consumer society, and show existing mechanisms to resolve potential conflicts in the field.
The workshops have already begun training with some of the participating groups and will last until the end of the course, will particularly aim to promote responsible consumption and solidarity, as well as the habits of sustainable and environmentally responsible consumption.
The workshops are taught in the schools themselves, by one skilled in consumption will be dynamic and participatory encouraging student reflection on the issues to be addressed in 3 sessions of 45 minutes.
