The Minister of Education, Pedro Antonio Sánchez and the Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez today inaugurated the extension of CEIP El Recuerdo, San Javier, for incorporating the Primary Education center which opened in 2010 with teaching Children .
The works were inaugurated today an investment of nearly 2 million, doubling the line and allow two groups per course up to 450 students.
Today, the center, with bilingual education in English, has 207 students divided into 8 groups, 4 and 4 Primary Children.
The center's director, Maria Dolores Griñán accompanied the director and the mayor, along with the other guests on a tour of the new facility consisting of two buildings, one of three floors with 12 classrooms, four for other splittings, library, alternative uses and offices for teachers and parents.
The other building, inaugurated today houses a gym with changing rooms, kitchen, dining room and a multipurpose room over 100 square meters.
The new facilities are added to the Children module which was built in the first phase, all in a complex built on land donated by the City of San Javier, with an overall investment of the Ministry of Education of 5 million euros.
The Minister of Education, Pedro Antonio Sánchez emphasized the ability of the new school, "which is designed to meet the demands of schooling in the short, medium and long term."
Sanchez also said that "these investments in schools demonstrate the commitment of regional government for Education in the Region", and stressed the fact that the Ministry of Education monopolize 33 percent of total regional budget.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez welcomed the culmination of a project initiated himself as Councillor for Education in 2007 when he requested a new school for San Javier.
Martinez congratulated the teaching staff and the parents association of the school, for their cooperation and willingness to start up the center, which adds 5 colleges in San Javier.
