Meet native plants and the importance of respecting the gardens and green areas of the town, is the aim of the activity "Know your plants" this morning has been developed in the Almansa Park with the visit of several groups of college "Sacred Heart" , San Javier.
The event, which opens the Environment Week, is developed with the collaboration of the Department of Parks and Gardens also has led several schools in the municipality, which could not be transferred to the Parque Almansa.
The councilors of Environment, Antonio Luengo, Parks and Gardens, Alfonso Samper, and Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa, went this morning to the activity held in a garden of native plants Almansa Park, and were responsible for delivering to the smaller a potted rosemary plant.
The mayor of the Environment, Antonio Luengo, stressed the importance of such activities with the little ones, and recalled that the program prepared on the occasion of World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5, includes, in the coming days a healthy living workshop, an organic market, a talk about school gardens, story of environmental issues, a photo contest, and a village of Environment which will be open on 6, 7 and 8 June in the esplanade Barnuevo Santiago de la Ribera.
