The Councillor for the Environment, Antonio Luengo yesterday handed contest prizes awareness on waste electrical and electronic equipment, students of classes 5th and 5th B A Sacred Heart school and 1 ° C and 2 ° A school El Recuerdo, both of San Javier, for his work on this type of waste.
The contest, part of an awareness campaign to the electrical and electronic waste, driven by Association Restarts, Ecolec Foundation Dagonpress and City of San Javier, consisted of performing a class project on the life of one of these residues children themselves to discover the importance of recycling "equipment".
Luengo congratulated the participants for the quality and the interest shown in their work and remarked that "the objective of this initiative has been met with success."
The mayor of the Environment smaller reminded his "commitment to move your parents and friends the importance of recycling of such electrical and electronic equipment".
The award is part of the program organized by the Department of Environment on World Environment Day, commemorated on June 5, during the week.
