The Councillor for the Environment, Antonio Luengo yesterday handed prizes II Environmental Photography Contest organized by his department on the occasion of World Environment Day.
In the central hall of the Department of Youth, where you can see the photographs submitted, accompanied by the mayor, Estíbaliz Masegosa, Luengo gave 1st prize of 700 euros to Francisco Javier Murcia by "The Ying and Yang" image in which two seahorses caught a boat out of soda at sea.
Mariano Calabuig received the 2nd Prize for "Gateway" and Pedro Javier Sáez 3rd by "La Manga between islands."
The grand prize winner also won one of the three second prize, with "selective fishing, sustainable fishing."
Joaquin Molla for "Sunrise III" and Alfonso Fernández del Toro ¨ "Cañizares," won two other Accésit.
Antonio Luengo emphasized the high quality of the papers presented and welcomed the participation of photographers who searched and looked different, a landscape, or any other details related to the natural environment of the municipality.
Luengo joked with participants, most of whom opted for the marine environment, and invited them to photograph the land and the field, which also characterizes the town of San Javier.
