The Department of Consumer successfully closing its "Consumer Education in Schools", which was held throughout the school year with students of 3rd ESO institutes "Ruiz de Alda", "Mar Menor" and " Sacred Heart "as well as the special education center Aidemar.
The program consisted of workshops were held in the centers by specialists in consumption that has worked with youth on responsible consumption and solidarity as well as habits of sustainable and environmentally responsible consumption.
Consumer Councillor, Francisca Naranjo emphasized the importance of such initiatives to reach young people with the aim of promoting their awareness as a consumer, and show them the rights and duties as consumers.
The workshop program ended last May in Aidemar, whose students concluded the workshop on Sustainable Consumption, in order to act directly, organizing a beach clean-whipped in Santiago de la Ribera on 10 and 12 June .
Aidemar takes matters into
In total there will be 20 members of the Programme of Socio-Community Integration Association Aidemar who carried out this activity in the morning and supervised by the team of educators association.
The workshop held in Aidemar, attendees took the keys to a sustainable consumption pass, first, by the will of consumers, secondly by being proactive in environmental conservation and thirdly for being able to act as role models exemplifying sustainable behaviors.
The result of these reflections and supported by the staff of the association, the workshop participants made the decision to become active agents for the protection of the environment, starting with the activity of cleaning the beach a new course of action for the benefit of the community.
