Councilman Commerce and Handicrafts, Pedro Lopez was on hand yesterday to receive over 150 bolilleras, arrivals from the Region of Murcia, Albacete and Alicante, who gathered in the Plaza de San Javier Spain on the occasion of the XI Meeting Bobbin lace of, organized by his department with the local association Abomar.
Accompanied by the president of Abomar, Carmen Bautista, and other members of the government team, López visited the exhibition of works by the lace of Abomar, installed at the entrance of City Hall with own most representative works of bobbin lace and cross stitch, one of which, made by Lali faithfully represented the parish priest of San Javier conducting mass.
The lace is installed under a tent, sheltered from the sun, in the square of Spain, where they worked throughout the morning to the public eye could see close up made of an art, which according to those who practice it relaxes the mind despite its apparent difficulty.
Lopez thanked all the participants for their visit to San Javier and the enthusiasm and the work of the members of Abomar reiterated municipal support to crafts, in particular the tatting has so many followers.
