The City of San Javier has launched a helpline for people affected by defaulting on mortgages with a budget of 30,000 euros, which is already included in the budget of 2014, which provides for maximum aid 3.195euros, announced today Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, who noted that it is a "pioneer in the municipal framework initiative."
The Mayor presented the call for aid in the municipality of San Javier accompanied by the Town Planning, Antonio Luengo, a member of the City Commission Antidesahucios and Pepe Fuentes, representative of the Platform Stop Evictions Mar Menor, part of the Commission, the which also includes representatives of all municipal officers political groups in the City, and.
For grants are aimed at people who have suffered an eviction, which qualified for payment in kind, or who are involved in a foreclosure, affecting in all cases, for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014. Applicants must be registered at least from a year ago in the town of San Javier.
The call has been approved by the Local Government Board, and will open upon publication in the BORM, expected next week.
From that time there will be two months time for those affected to submit the application, along with the required documentation, explained the mayor Antonio Luengo.
Applications will be evaluated by a committee composed of experts from Social Services and members of the City Commission Antidesahucio.
The Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martínez said that it is "a pioneering aid which is to help mitigate the effects of a dramatic situation for those affected."
Martinez added that the aid is one step more than are finding Antidesahucios from the City Commission, which was launched in 2013 with the objective of responding to a serious social problem and support, as far as possible, Stop Platform Antidesahucios Mar Menor, in their efforts to help those affected.

Luengo recalled the work that the City Commission is developing Antidesahucio since its launch in April 2013. Since specific cases of affected families studied, meetings have been held with banks, contacted other authorities, including Justice to improve coordination, has conducted a campaign to collect food, and worked with Caritas, involved in the help topic, explained Antonio Luengo.
The mayor noted that the City is also working with the Platform Stop Evictions Mar Menor with the assignment of a room where members meet and receive queries and views of people affected every Thursday from 17:00 h.
