The City of San Javier is conducting an audit of all municipal lighting to tender face lighting service through Energy Service Company (ESCO) in order to achieve both a cost savings and increased energy efficiency.
It also works to change the boiler system of municipal swimming pool, using biomass and solar panels, as is planned in the Town Hall building with a photovoltaic system.
Three new measures are expected to be operational within a maximum period of 9 months, they reported the secondment to the Department of Environment municipal engineer, Salvador Navarro, during the seminar held in the city of San Javier to present the Plan of Action for Sustainable Energy (PAES) in the municipality of San Javier.
A plan that is part of the commitment made by the City of San Javier in 2011 with the signing of the Covenant of Mayors whose ultimate goal is to reduce CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.

Luengo stressed the commitment of the City of San Javier which is the Covenant of Mayors, as embodied in the very get aa 2020 with a reduction of 20 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, and to achieve energy savings 20 percent and increasing by 20 percent the use of renewable energy.
