Councillor for Sports, Carlos Albaladejo, President of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, Juan Manuel Molina, and Mayor pedánea Santiago de la Ribera, Julia Gallut presented this morning in the City of San Javier Milla II Family to be held on Sunday 27 July in Santiago de la Ribera, during its festivities.
Albaladejo who stood Family Mile "in the packed program of sports events that welcomes Santiago de la Ribera," recalled the success of the first edition of this event, which attracted 300 participants, and that is to consolidate this second edition, which may participate from age 5, with a city tour in Sandoval Avenue.
The Mile 1609.3 meters, is completed with 4 laps to Sandoval Avenue, although depending on the category the distance will be shortened.
Juan Manuel Molina, who praised the "relentless" sporting activities and facilities of the municipality of San Javier, explained that the first start will be at 19:45 h for the smallest categories in the Sea Horses (born in 2003-4) and Tadpoles (2005-6).
From there it will give the following outputs for other categories: sardines, popular showpiece for both athletes and competition, due out at 20:10 h, and the categories Shark, Dolphin and Triton.
Later Career with strollers, in which an adult should push a cart, and Family Relay test will be held with the participation of 3 members of the same family.
Shortly before 21:00 they shall terminate all tests with the awards and trophies on the esplanade Barnuevo.

Entries are free in all categories except the absolute mile, which cost 4 euros.
All participants will have their technical souvenir T-shirt, plus free gifts provided by the sponsoring firms.
The organization advised to make prior registration for online but also can make the day of the test, along with the delivery of numbers that can be picked up one hour before the race in which it participates.
The headman mayor of Santiago de la Ribera, Julia Gallut stressed the great sport that welcomes Santiago de la Ribera and thanked the Department of Sports dedication to do so.
Julia Gallut invited everyone to participate, surpassing last year's participation, and praised the union of family and sport that brings into play the initiative.
