Councillor for the Environment, Antonio Luengo closed today the program of the European Mobility Week to around 200 children who attended the performance of the play "The Bus" in the auditorium of the City of San Javier.
Luengo took the opportunity to remind the little ones for International Car Free Day, which is celebrated today, has been closed to vehicular traffic street Andrés Baquero, symbolically.
This initiative is intended to highlight the drawbacks of the pollution caused by transportation and encourage alternative means such as cycling, walking distances permit if even the skates.

The Department of Environment closes with smaller program with varied activities that intend to give visibility to alternative means of transport to the vehicle in an area that topography and climate makes other options.
Last weekend about 50 people participated in the bike path-San Javier La Manga del Mar Menor, using the ferry that allows the transport of bicycles to access from one to the other shore of the Mar Menor.
It also recalled the existence of cleaner hybrid and electric cars with an exhibition at the esplanade Barnuevo Santiago de la Ribera, and the existence of hiking trails on foot, on the occasion of Memorial "Antonio Perez, Cherif" held on Sunday in El Mirador.
