Councillor for Women and Equality, Estíbaliz Masegosa presented today at the City of San Javier the first league match will play the female Mar Menor CF team in the new season against FC Cartagena Pitín Stadium in San Javier, the next Sunday, September 28.
The mayor expressed the support of his department to the local women's football team which welcomed the "step more equality through the practice of a sport that traditionally practiced more men like football."
Masegosa invited everyone to support the players with their presence in Sunday's game.
The presentation of the game, you will have free admission, had the presence of the caretaker and one of the team captains, Dulce Gonzalez, coach, Juan Garcia and team captain 3rd Division Emilio Rodriguez, who also serves as coach and sporting director Mar Menor CF, Javi Lopez, who showed to the satisfaction of the Club to have a group of females.
The women's team of the Mar Menor CF has 17 players with ages ranging from 13 to 30 years, workers, mostly, and students.
It was formed three years ago but was in the second season when the competitive zeal and the level of players led them to suggest seriously forming a racing team.
Dulce Gonzalez thanked the welcome from the first moment they gave the Mar Menor CF and municipal support received from the PDM and the Department of Equality own.
The concierge team expressed the determination of the set to "keep moving, be better every day, and get more hits."
Juan Garcia, coach praised his players delivering.
"Most workers who are just at eight in the evening and come to train from 9:30 to 23:00."
García, forming tandem with Captain Mar Menor CF 3rd Division, Emilio Rodríguez, also stressed the current level of women's football, and recalled that a player of the team received a call from the national team of football.
All agreed to note the rise of women's football, who already practice many girls up to 13 years, also play with the boys.
The regional women's football league players allowed from age 13, age at which interested may join the team discipline local females, which trains two days a week in the Pitín Stadium, for which only have to go through the offices of the Club in that stadium from 17:00 to 20: 00h.
