San Javier hosts tomorrow, Wednesday October 22 a Day of Rural Women organized, for four years, the departments of Agriculture Equality and the City of San Javier which aims to give visibility to the woman who works and operates in the rural areas.
The mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez opened the Day at 09: 30h.
in the auditorium of the City of San Javier, accompanied by the CEOs of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Antonio Bernal;
Agrifood Industry and Agricultural Training, Angel García Lidón and Research and Innovation, Celia Martinez.
La Jornada, which has the support of the Departments of Agriculture and Water, as well as of Industry, Tourism, Business and Innovation, and Coag-Go Ceres, includes four presentations that will discuss women in research , women in rural areas, and technical issues such as climate change and its influence on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, as well as issues relating to organic farming and healthy eating, with the participation of experts and technicians.
Upon completion of the presentations, the participants will visit a company in the area, in this case palec Ecological before the convivial meal to be held in Agrodolores and after which the Conference will close.
La Jornada has also led a workshop to be held on 29, 30 and 31 October in the Coag-Go office in El Mirador, entitled "Leading your life" in which the resources and skills to enable it work women participants optimize their abilities and channel their energy.
