The Full Council of San Javier today approved unanimously open a file for awarding the Gold Medal from the Villa to the Association for the Integration of the Disabled in the region of Mar Menor, Aidemar.
Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada García will be the instructor of record that promotes "in recognition of the work performed Aidemar for years and is well known to all," said the mayor, Juan Martinez.
Juan Martinez said the operation and effectiveness of a center like Aidemar "dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families."
The Mayor noted also "effective answer given to the population not only becoming a regional but national benchmark".
Aidemar the families themselves founded in 1982 in San Javier in order to provide care to disabled children.
A year later he was declared of public utility.
The progression experienced by the Centre since been of great importance quantitatively and qualitatively.
Currently works with the implementation of a quality system ISO 9001-2008 and offers a comprehensive range of services starting with the Child Development and Early Intervention for children aged 0 to 6 years.
Also functions as a concerted Special Education students aged 3 to 20 years center.
Its services also include a day center for over 18 years with intense and permanetes needs support, and a Day Centre for Training and occupational therapy for users between 18 and 60 years.
Aidemar also operates a Special Employment Center, Resource Center Employment Aidemar, for the labor market, and residential homes and respite psara severely disabled, plus a service to families.
