Sports Councilman Carlos Albaladejo they received three mountaineers from San Javier, Nightjar Club members, Nico Zapata, Miguel Ernesto Martínez Madrid and on his return to San Javier after crowning the summit of Kilimanjaro (Uhuru peak 5.895metros), which opened 2015.
At seven o'clock of January 1, 2015, when Tanzania, Nico, Michael and Ernesto crowned the roof of Africa where they arrived by the Machame route, known locally as the Whisky Trail for its special hardness.
They rose in four and a half days, departing from Machame Gate (1.90m.) And using the camps Machame camp (3,010), Shira camp (3.840m), Barranco camp (3.969m) and Barafu camp (4.649m.).
On the return from the top to the output of the natural park Mweka gate (2,100m) only used the Mweka camp at 3.080m.
The climbers were pleased with this new achievement in which they were exposed both sun and rain, fog, sleet and snow, which relied on their past experiences and fellowship necessary to carry out this new challenge just to realize.
The Councillor for Sports, Carlos Albaladejo congratulated the new managed achievement and encouraged them to continue to meet new challenges.
The mayor also congratulated the club Nightjar by the work being done at all levels promoted the sport in the mountains with activities of different intensity transmitted his love of mountain people of all ages.
The three mountaineers managed to add a new challenge to the many who have already achieved as the ascent of Mont Blanc (4.810m.), Crowned by Nico Zapata and Ernesto Martinez.
The Nightjar mountaineering club maintains an intense activity that did involve the public in a series of talks that offered in San Javier in which also shared other extreme experiences as their participation in various Ultra Trails, long distance running.
It also organizes other activities such as hiking wherever there mountain, as the most recent ascent to Puig Campana in Ponoig (Alicante).
