The Town Planning and Environment, Antonio Luengo today visited the Mirador school where his council has celebrated World Day of Wildlife with a display of birds of prey for the little ones.
Children who attended the exhibition groups have had the opportunity to meet and see up close birds like the saker falcon, owl Bengal, the African owl, eagle Harris and Royal Owl, more spice Murcia.
A monitor explained the situation found in these wild species which currently require, in many cases, human intervention so they can be preserved.
They also surprised the kids with some features of each bird, as the speed of 350km / ha which is capable of flying eagle Harris.
The mayor Antonio Luengo emphasized the importance of such actions, they do think the smaller of the need to protect and preserve the natural environment around us for wild species, whether animal or plant can continue to live and develop freely .
The head of studies center, Amalia Garcia thanked activity "with which children are enjoying the moment they have seen birds reach" and also noted the importance of the education of children.
Luengo announced that his department intends to continue offering this activity to other centers in the municipality.
