A total of 18 people, mostly women have completed the course of Gerontological Education which was held in the Municipal Social Services Center, which was closed by the Councillor for Social Services, Francisca Naranjo.
The course has 60 hours was given by the Solidarity Association and has received funding from the Ministry of Health and the collaboration of the Department of Social Services City of San Javier.
The course participants were trained on different topics related to aging, dependency and caregiver figure dependents focusing on issues such as the characteristics of the elderly, geriatric syndromes, accident prevention, environmental adaptation and use of technical aids as well as empowerment, among others.
The Department of Social Services San Javier works for the second time Intergenerational Solidarity Association, which aims to provide comprehensive care for the elderly in rural areas and support for families committed to the care of the elderly.
Also has enjoyed the cooperation of the Time Bank to offer a kindergarten service has facilitated the participation of mothers with children in their care.
