Councillor for Social Services, Francisca Naranjo today closed the program of activities and workshops that developed along the course in municipal elderly centers of Santiago de la Ribera, El Mirador and La Manga with an act of gratitude to monitors voluntarily "have contributed to the revitalization of the centers."
Naranjo thanked for their work and praised the work they have developed over the past months in front of shops that have had great success in participation and who have made a proposal to the people involved.
The mayor of Social Services thanked the members of the various centers, including La Manga, who traveled by ferry to Santiago de la Ribera, where he finished the event with a lunch of coexistence.
Memory workshops and therapeutic gymnastics remain the most popular, although the computer and mobile phone use, which were then also monopolize all seats.
Among the workshops, which were held in different centers, taught by volunteers, also highlights Tibetan yoga, tai-chi, literacy, fabric painting, Sevillana, philosophy and crafts.
