A total of 400 students from 3rd and 4th of Primary schools in the municipality have attended the exhibition and display of birds of prey which was held in the municipal auditorium of Almansa Park for two days.
The event was organized by the Department of Environment within the program of activities to be held throughout the week to commemorate the World Environment Day which falls on June 5.
The Town Planning, Agriculture and Environment, Antonio Luengo explained that this activity aims to show children the existence of this type of birds, many of them endangered native.
An expert in this type of bird explained to the children the importance of its existence for the balance of the ecosystem, as well as details and curiosities of each of the birds presented.
Owls, Bengal and African, Harris eagle, saker falcon and owls were the stars today the stage of the Municipal Auditorium, whose airspace has also flown with the participation of students, some of whom, glove in hand, have had the opportunity to hold his arm to these so difficult to admire about birds.
The Department of Environment opens with this activity held Monday and Tuesday the weekly program of activities, which includes other actions related to recycling, agriculture and consumption of food and organic products, nature photography, and beach setting and marine, with special attention to the Posidonia.
