The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo signed this morning the municipal contract for reinforcing the cleaning of beaches during the summer which will be operational from tomorrow, Wednesday 24 June to 30 September.
It is strengthening, supplementing municipal services in cleaning beaches where the summer months, will involve the incorporation of 15 people, all unemployed in the municipality of San Javier, who will work on the beaches of Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga Mar Menor in morning and afternoon shifts, from 6:00 to 11:00 and 16:00 to 18: 00h.
The main task of strengthening workers will keep the beach area as walkways, foot showers, litter bins and removal of algae or similar on the seashore.
The contractor, INDEPRO, add a boogie car at La Manga, will take charge of one of the tractors rake beach, and has a truck for removal of cleaning as well as a van to transport personnel.
José Miguel Luengo emphasized the effort of strengthening in cleaning beaches that had a budget of 207,000 euros tender and won by 174,000 euros to "a company that appreciate who has responded to our request to hire people they were unemployed in our town. "
Luengo, who signed the agreement this morning with the representative of the contractor Juan José Bathrooms, recalled that on this occasion they only signed the contract for the reinforcement beaches, because the reinforcement street cleaning is already included in the new contract signed last year.
