The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo today chaired the first Local Security Board which was also joined as a member the new Councillor for Citizen Security, Teresa Foncuberta and the new council sanctions, Antonio Luengo.
The Board is further comprised of reresentantes Government Delegation in Murcia and Autonomous Region, local police and Civil Guard.
Luengo thanked the Security Forces of the State, the local police and the Delegation of the Government of its commitment to public safety in the municipality of San Javier in a period like the present where the population is multiplied by five.
The Civil Guard strengthen security in the Mar Menor and La Manga with the presence of 82 personnel during the summer season.
The Mayor highlighted the collaboration between local police and Civil Guard, to guarantee security during the summer.
Following the meeting of the Local Security Board, José Miguel Luengo also reported that a record start to the Government Delegation in Murcia authorized the installation of security cameras in the Almansa Park, and the Pinatar Avenue, San Javier , in order to avoid problems of public safety, retail and circumstances as drug or alcohol use on public roads.
