The Department of Environment and Beaches seize one more summer to encourage environmental awareness among the public through a series of activities on the beaches of Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga del Mar Menor in July and August.
At the same time they will affect the social awareness of the problems of the disabled, on beaches, in collaboration with Fundamifp.
The Town Planning and Environment, Antonio Luengo said that activities will focus on five beaches, all distinguished with the "Q" Quality Tourism, where we will work to promote environmental values ​​and the importance of being careful with our natural environment.
To this end, it has prepared an environmental information, games, workshops and activities on recycling and on the care of the Mar Menor and Posidonia prairie.
Antonio Luengo who was accompanied by the president of Fumdamifp, Carmen Gil, explained that the first meeting will take place on July 14 on the beach Barnuevo of Santiago de la Ribera where there will be a point Info, animation recycling and activity on mobility Guests attended by a physiotherapist and lifeguards Civil Protection by fundamifp, Famdif and Orthopedics Los Arcos.
August 29 activity will be repeated in the Mistral beach of La Manga del Mar Menor.
On August 7 Columbus returns to the beach with an information point and animation recycling, and the 14th will be in Castillico beach.
A La Manga again on 13 August with a gymkhana environmental education workshop on the lower sea, sea grasses and horse Mar. All activities will take place from 11-13: 00h.
Carmen Gil recalled that this collaboration is part of the agreement Fumdamifp signed with the City of San Javier, which in this case allows us to reach all mobility problems whose solution benefits society as a whole since it also facilitates mobility for older people, or those that carry cart, for example.
