The Councillor for the Environment, Antonio Luengo said today the excellent reception given to the environmental awareness campaign in beaches that developed the City of San Javier along the summer.
During his visit to the final round of the campaign this summer beaches in the Castillico beach of Santiago de la Ribera, Luengo said that hundreds of children have participated actively through activities such as theater, on the sand, and gymkanas related games, all with daily environmental issues such as recycling, among others.
Luengo opportunity to thank the participation of entities as Fumdamifp, Famdif and Orthopedics Los Arcos in mobility-related activities on beaches and Tourism yesterday Posidonia developed an activity attended by the village headman of La Manga, Madrid Michael Anderson, in which raising awareness of the need to protect and maintain species like the seahorse, sea grasses or own included.
Luengo also recalled that in addition to the activities held each day at the beaches of Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga, also served to open a municipal environmental information point where information and practical gifts like ashtrays offered beach magnets, hats and other related products with various environmental campaigns.
The Department of Environment is preparing the next season after the summer to be followed in developing various activities in many schools and colleges in order to reach the young.
