The cemetery of San Javier will host on October 24 the performance of 'Don Juan Tenorio' by Theatre Company Friends of Tenorio, said the general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta Lopez-Briones, and the local mayor, José Miguel Luengo.
Zorrilla classic, directed by Elvira Pineda, will be performed for the second year in this unique space, in collaboration with members of the theater group of San Javier and the Association of Friends of Bethlehem, which is responsible for the setting of cemetery and outdoor areas with candles, lanterns and torches.
Marta Lopez-Briones stressed "the great work done by the organizers of this representation" which last year was attended by about a thousand people.
"Going to see 'Don Juan Tenorio' every year when November approaches is a tradition for many Murcia and see it on stage as the cemetery added to this classic of literature a special magic."

Dream and Reality in the Cemetery of San Javier is the name of the performance, to be held in aid of Caritas.
This year will also be organized other activities such as story contest in San Javier institutes to seek an alternate ending to the text;
a conference on the Spanish literary romanticism at the Museum of San Javier by poet Soren Peñalver (23 October) and a demonstration of sculpture in which the artist Juan Jose Quiros modeled a bust of Don Juan and Doña Inés in Fnac Murcia (14 October).
On this schedule, the director general of ICA added that "it is good to see how everyday cultural offerings is growing in the different municipalities of the region, opening the entire society. In this sense, we must thank for San Javier its commitment to theatrical activities like this come every year more people and, above all, for them the youngest public involved. "
The romantic drama 'Don Juan Tenorio', published in 1844, is traditionally performed in near the feast of All Saints dates, November 1, and one of his most famous scenes takes place in a pantheon.
San Javier is, since last year, the only place in Spain where the entire work-not just some pasajes- is represented in a real cemetery.
Tickets for 'Don Juan Tenorio' in San Javier on October 24 will cost ten euros and can be purchased at Fnac Murcia (New Condomina), in the Parish Museum of San Javier and the Department of Culture town.
