The Department of Equality of the City of San Javier has convened the II Microstories against gender violence on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November next.
The competition, held in collaboration with the Library of San Javier, aims raise awareness against gender violence and strengthen, through writing and reflection, the values ​​of respect and equality that together we can fight this scourge social, he explained the Councillor for Women and Equality, Estíbaliz Masegosa.
The only requirements for the contest are: to be over 18 and resident in Spain, writing a short story by participating, and deliver it, written in Spanish, before 22 November.
The extension of the short story may not exceed 120 words.
The jury will evaluate the literary quality and that the issue is related to the objective of the contest is to eliminate gender violence.
The contest provides 3 prizes endowed with 250, 150 and 100 euros for the first, second and third place.
The bases are available in http://sanjaviercontralaviolenciadegenero.blogspot.com.es/, a blog that opened last year to hang all microrrelatos presented to the first edition of this competition, which has to date received more than 14,000 visitors who were interested in more than 400 micro-stories published.
