The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the president of the theater group San Javier, José Pardo today signed the renewal of a partnership agreement through which the City will contribute $ 3,000 to the local theater group that committed collaboration with the culture of the municipality by the representations made throughout the year, in a ceremony which was also attended by the Councillor for Culture, David Martinez.
Luengo said that with this agreement the Council's commitment is evidenced by the theater group "that was the one that created a theatrical contest that later gave rise to the current International Festival of Theatre, Music and Dance in San Javier in which premiered a work each year".
The mayor of San Javier highlighted the intense work of the group keeping the flame of amateur theater in our town, the quality of their work and their willingness to cooperate whenever they are required.
Meanwhile, the group's president, Jose Pardo thanked municipal support and claimed the name of San Javier to the group "because our town is the shared history and the origin of the group and the municipality through the Festival Theatre".
Pardo stressed the constant activity of the group tomorrow, Friday November 13 returns to collaborate with the staging of "Don Juan Tenorio" while preparing the Auto Nativity representing the next Christmas in the church of San Javier and in the civic center "Parque Almansa".
