The technical team of the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure is already working on the remodeling project of the roundabout at Pozo Aledo in the RM-19 road connecting Murcia and the AP-7 motorway between Cartagena and San Javier in the province Alicante.
Also in this area of ​​the Mar Menor it is scheduled to carry out the splitting of the stretch of road between the AP-7 and the roundabout that leads to the Dos Mares shopping center to improve traffic flow.
So it moved today by the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, accompanied by the general director of Roads, Jose Antonio Fernandez, the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, and his government team, with whom he held a working meeting in the town hall, where the planning and development of infrastructure projects that the Ministry is planning to implement in the city was exposed.
Barnabas reported that it has already drawn up a financial report "to intervene immediately in the rehabilitation and improvement of visibility at the roundabout in Pozo Aledo".
The performance, added, "which starts early in the year and will have a budget of about 26,000 euros, gives satisfaction to a request demanded by the neighbors."
The works consist in modifying the central island to improve visibility of vehicles entering the roundabout from Pozo Aledo and the construction of a baffle islet in addition to it from the village of San Javier.
In addition, the Ministry is working on drafting the study of remodeling of the roundabout, in which all necessary actions to improve circulation on this road link will be determined.
Its aim is to allow the movement of vehicles from Pozo Aledo and from San Javier to Cartagena.
Splitting
Regarding the widening of the road RM-F24, performance is scheduled, specifically in the section from the N-332 to the AP-7 motorway, which connects to the commercial space Dos Mares.
With this performance access to the mall and communications with the municipality of San Javier will be improved.
This project will be implemented in coordination between the Community and the City, because in the area are to run two partial plans, which is scheduled for a cooperation agreement between the two administrations to co-finance the works.
Also, the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure informed the mayor and the members of his team to be measures to boost the Mar Menor and the environment, under the European Instrument program regionalised Investment (ITI), which will a budget of 45 million euros.
Among them, he highlighted measures to eliminate discharges to the Mar Menor and illegal moorings, through areas of access for boats in the lagoon, the remodeling of the marinas and the provision of marine dry, among other initiatives .
