The Community and the municipality of San Javier work on the implementation of alternative measures to solve existing illegal moorings in the Mar Menor, in the framework of the new measures envisaged in the Integrated (ITI) territorial investment for the area.
To do so, the municipality is already pushing measures such as the creation of new berths, polygons funding and new docks, in order to avoid the practice of tying the boat to the seabed in the Mar Menor.
The head of the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, accompanied by the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, today held a meeting with a representation of the business of the municipality to analyze the ITI del Mar Menor.
Among the attendees they emphasized trade associations One, San Javier town shopping, the Hospitality Association of Mar Menor (Hostemar), the Dos Mares shopping center, the Eroski supermarket and companies for commercial, nautical and construction activities.

The Minister stressed that "the Mar Menor is one of three sites in Europe chosen Spain as a focus of special attraction and preferred investment for a series of measures and actions on environmental issues, seamanship, transport and tourism that will allow boost all the attractions of this unique location in Europe.
