Music therapy, through any of its elements such as sound, rhythm, harmony, melody and offers many benefits, and in the case of older people staying in the residence, also contributes to break your routine and helps them establish bonds of relationship and fun.
That was the goal of the activity of music therapy which was held at the residences El Molino, San José and Santiago de la Ribera Lozar and Lozar Pozo Aledo, organized by the Center for Social Services in collaboration with the Association of family and friends Alzheimer's, AFAL, with which the City maintains a collaboration agreement.
Councillor for Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa who attended the last session held in the residence Lozar Pozo Aledo, stressed that this is an innovative and attractive activity for older people to which different instruments that were provided created its own sound, a common activity in which they were protagonists.
Masegosa thanked the participation of homes for the elderly, and the proposal for this enriching activity by AFAL, through the cooperation agreement it has with the City of San Javier, where the association serves on the first floor the building of the Senior Center of Santiago de la Ribera
