The president of the Association Sardinera, Gregorio González and a member of its board, Juan Francisco Blazquez met yesterday in San Javier with the mayor, José Miguel Luengo, and Council of Celebration, Pedro Lopez and Culture, David Martínez to finalize details hosting will have the Sardine, in the municipality of San Javier on Sunday March 27 when it is scheduled to arrive by boat to Santiago de la Ribera.
The sardine groups bring alluding to San Javier float parade after the Burial of the Sardine in Murcia, along with some local troupes will participate in the fun parade that will begin once landed Sardina and cross of Santiago Ribera to the Plaza de San Javier Spain where he will be greeted with a big party.
José Miguel Luengo emphasized that the City Council of San Javier are working with great enthusiasm to live up to a party that has over 160 years of life and is considered of International Tourist Interest.
Luengo said that is the first time the Sardina comes to our town and will be a great holiday for residents and visitors.
More than 400 sardineros be transferred to the municipality that day to celebrate the arrival of the Sardine on a journey that is expected to be massive.
