The general director of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, accompanied by the mayor of San Javier, Josefa García, President of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia, José Tortosa, and Sergio Martinez, Cycling Club Mar Menor, today introduced XI Classic Costa Calida, memorial "Chaplain", which takes place on Sunday 8 June and is valid for the Future Cup in Spain in the U-23.
The race, which will start at 10:30 am from the Paseo de Colón de Santiago de la Ribera, completed in the same town after a journey of 121.3 miles which will pass through the towns of San Javier, El Mirador, Sucina and Glens San Pedro, and the port Cabezo de la Plata as the only climb of the day.
It is announced that 19 teams from a dozen regions, among which are counted Murcia "Iron Agüera" and "Cafemax.Murcia."
In the winner of the test set later runners have reached the professional relevance as Pachi Vila, Luis Perez, Claudio Casas, Paco Lara and Julián Sánchez, without forgetting the Murcia Cayetano Juliá, Juan Miguel Cuenca, Alejandro Valverde and Luis León.
