Ivan Lins, who already offered at the Festival de Jazz de San Javier, an extraordinary concert with Jane Monheitt in its sixth edition returns to San Javier with a new jazz singer, American Robin McKelle, in a concert of duets.

In the second concert in the evening, Monty Alexander giant piano with his usual trio invited three Jamaican musicians, will present a tribute to Bob Marley compositions.

Few American jazz musicians have resisted the compositions of Ivan Lins, without doubt one of the most international and Brazilian musicians known as a composer as evidenced by the number of albums released that offer tribute to his music as "A Love Affair" involving from Sting, Grover Washington, Chaka Khan, or Dianne Reeves, among others.

Monty Alexander has added three Jamaican musicians to his usual training for this concert that just as you did on the album "Stir it up", paying tribute to Marley's music with songs like Jammin 'Could You Be Loved, or not Woman No Cry.

Monty Alexander took the notoriety that I had to travel to Jamaica in the late 50's to New York, where in a short time came with such prominent musicians as Dizzy Gillespie, Toots Thielemans, Duke Ellington, Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Smith and Milt Jackson.

In his classical training, join their Jamaican roots with Caribbean influences that stem from his piano in a natural and unique, bringing a new and original sound to the broad spectrum of current jazz fused with reggae.

In his extensive discography are added collaborations with other artists as she did with Natalie Cole, as a pianist in her album "Unforgettable", a tribute to singer Nat King Cole.
