Herbie Hancock closed the Festival de Jazz de San Javier, with a concert presentation of his new album "River: The Joni Letters", awarded a Grammy for Best Album of the Year.
Herbie Hancock will receive, after the show, the prize of the Festival de Jazz de San Javier 2008, in honor of his career.
With an extraordinary band which contains several jazz stars in their own right, as the bassist Dave Holland, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, saxophonist Chris Potter, or the new revelation of the jazz guitar Lionel Loueke, plus singers Sonya Kitchell and Amy Keys, Herbie Hancock Jazz returns to San Javier where already triumphed in the third festival in 2000.
