Joglars presented in San Javier "Dinner," a satire on the hypocrisy of social policy and environmental

Once again, Albert Boadella uses satire, this time to reveal what he considers "the deception and frivolity with which the government address the issues that has to do with nature and the environment."

Boadella deals with dramaturgy, direction and scenery of this latest production Joglars, a company he founded in 1961, and is characterized by its original proposals, with huge doses of quality and its own language based on the combination of imagination and method.

"Dinner", deals with the preparation of an international summit on climate issues held in a National Parador, whose farewell dinner organized by the Spanish government, which wants to dazzle the leaders, and so commissioned the meal to a culinary genius, as a demonstration avant-garde haute cuisine that respects the ecology and the environment.

With a simple set design on a background map of the world plays the Renaissance Palazzo Farnese, the actors are enough to develop a text capable of lifting the laughter of the audience, satirical and intelligent dialogues which will put the finger on issues such as political hypocrisy that promotes policies that encourage pollution binge while speaking of supposed disasters resulting from climate change caused by pollution.

The catastrophic vision of the consequences of climate change as a contemporary form of religion is also in the spotlight Boadella that through preparations for the delicious dinner that will serve causes a series of humorous situations in which states, Also, the snobbery and the cult exacerbated social appearances, in a text that also refers to real people.

Nine actors give life to the Chef, two kitchen assistants, the teacher, a renowned pastry, the Minister of Environment and the Director General of House, in the main papal, but also plays another dozen disparate characters, including which is the Dalai Lama, the Pope and Dominican monks, or an Eskimo, plus a team of environmental research, and other political office as the Secretary General of Environment.

Beyond the text, the actors, whose clothing is concerned Elisa Echegaray, using body language and gestures, assisted in the choreography by Anna Brians.

"Dinner" that he might choke on more than one, opened last May in Seville and will tour in Spain to close at the end of the year in Alicante, without any appointment in Catalonia.
