The Mar Menor is a unique place in our region, which marks the identity, tradition and culture of much of the municipality of San Javier.Además to be a major regional tourist area, is unique for its natural beauty and ecological value.
From the Department of Environment of the City of San Javier is undertaking various activities to promote respect, understanding and appreciation of it.
In this regard this year have carried out several activities with various entities, including the Global Nature Fund, in particular within the framework of Project Seahorse.
Aware of the importance of protecting and raising awareness of the natural wealth of natural areas in the municipality of San Javier the City Council has signed a collaboration agreement with the 2001-GLOBAL NATURE Foundation, an organization that has worked to preserve nature from 90 in our region to work together for the protection, respect and sustainable development of natural areas in the municipality.
