The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration will provide 350,000 euros this year to finance the construction of two centers of care and prevention of disability.
This morning the head of independent department, Joaquín Bascuñana, signed two separate agreements with the Association of Paraplegics and Physically Handicapped Large (ASPAYM), amounting to 200,000 euros for Integration Multipurpose Center in Murcia, and the Association for the Integration of Disabled in the region of Mar Menor (Aideman), for 150,000 euros for Early Childhood Center, in San Javier.
By ASPAYM initialed the agreement its president, Jose Gracia, whose partnership has helped this year with 66,667 euros.
The center will be built in the Marqués de los Vélez, on land donated by the city of Murcia, and will create 50 places for day center providing comprehensive services to people with spinal cord injury and / or severe physical disabilities.
Also ASPAYM agrees to coordinate its activities with the planning scenarios developed by the Ministry, and make available 50 percent of their seats so they can enter.
To date, the Autonomous Community has provided 1,170,418 euros and the Association, 120,734.
As for the new Early Childhood Center in San Javier, is aimed at the provision of child development and early intervention for children under six years, residents in the region of the Mar Menor, who have disabilities or are at risk.
The Association for the Integration of the Disabled in the region of the Mar Menor (Aideman), whose chief Francisco Javier Garcia, signed the agreement, is headquartered in the street Fernández Caballero, San Javier.
And have other sites (Special Education, Occupational Center, Residential Services, Sheltered Housing and Day Centre) in the same municipality and San Pedro del Pinatar (Occupational Center and the Special Employment Centre.)
With the new Early Childhood Center, which will rise on a surface area of 835 square meters, is expected to accommodate up to 500 children to develop a comprehensive project for early intervention and family care, which currently takes place in a small renovated house.
