The mayor of San Javier Pepa Garcia presides today Tourist Commonwealth of Mar Menor, a position he assumed "with renewed enthusiasm, and desire for continuity in the work of its predecessor, the mayor of Los Alcazares Encarna Gil.
After the changing of the presidency held in the City of Los Alcazares, Pepa García explained that the Commonwealth will continue to work to "consolidate the Mar Menor as a tourism destination brand and a quality destination."
The new president of the Association of Tourist Service of the Mar Menor, Pepa García has reported that in the coming months to execute a plan to promote the Mar Menor which will cost about 200,000 euros and that will begin in the next Fitur days.
Also explained that with the Mar Menor Murcia Turística fairs will be promoted Valladolid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia.
Along with Tourespaña, the Commonwealth will attend the International Fair of Lisbon, Brussels, Berlin, Gothenburg, London and Moscow.
You can take direct action for the promotion between March and May in the cities of Madrid, Barcelona and La Rioja.
Pepa García also highlights the efforts will continue to improve levels of quality tourism, through the Integrated System for Quality Tourist Destinations being developed within the Commonwealth.
The results in the application of that system have materialized at a ceremony held after the plenary, which has benefited from the presence of the Director General of Tourism, Angel Campos and a representative of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, Carmen Barroso which have delivered a total of 26 distinctive recognition of its commitment to continuous improvement to the representatives of the establishments and services, adhering to this system through which, on a voluntary basis for working with quality standards.
