The Department of Environment of the municipality of San Javier perform a radio map of the municipality, whose measurement work will begin next Monday.
The Councillor for the Environment, José Luis Espinosa explained that the aim of this work is to ensure that all antennas comply with the regulations on radio transmitters in the municipality and ensure that activities undertaken in the municipality in the field of space radio are not detrimental to the health of citizens and the environment of the municipality.
The radio measurement campaign will begin on Monday 9 February to be held in all the antennas in the municipality, and in all schools, health centers and public parks and green areas, considered as sensitive points.
The council has explained that if a neighborhood association, or parents' wishes to be present in the measurement, may do so through a representative and advance by contacting the Environment Department in the municipality of San Javier.
After obtaining these measures, the results are extrapolated to a 3D radio map of the whole municipality, which will reflect the emission levels throughout the city that neighbors can see through the City website.
It also organized a public conference where technicians will provide the necessary explanations to the public for any questions on the subject, and which shall describe the corrective measures taken if necessary, according to the conclusions of this work be announced no later than 4 months old.
