With the slogan "Make the most of your time in San Javier", the council of volunteers has begun a program of activities through the Time Bank, which, for example, offered a total of 13 courses or workshops different subjects, which students do not pay with money but with their free time.
The objective of the program also offers a hotel partnership, promoting solidarity through the exchange of knowledge or whether concrete actions between people.
The workshops and work, some with 15 students, are taught by volunteers enrolled in the Time Bank.
Students are charged only with hours of free time available to the community, often in the form of voluntary work, through support to the elderly, sick or disabled, as well as serving to support the Social Service and various local associations and groups .
Workshops in English, French, computers, sewing, painting, guitar, yoga, and theater, among others, are taught in the Social Welfare Centre (formerly the School Home), on the street Bernal, 13, of Santiago de la Ribera and civic center of Santiago de la Ribera and San Javier, one day a week.
The only requirement for registration is the provision of free time to serve the needs demanded at that time through the Time Bank.
The Time Bank, which already has nearly 100 people registered, also works with interpersonal time exchanges.
The groups meet in workshops, when several people who demand the same, and at least one service offered by the defendant.
The organization of the Time Bank is responsible for balancing the time received and made by registrants.
