The mayor of San Javier Pepa Garcia has signed this morning by the receipt of additional works to adapt the plot of the building of the Faculty of Sports Science, University of Murcia Santiago de la Ribera.
The works have involved an investment of 571,870.11 euros have included fencing the site, land leveling, construction of sidewalks and entrances, lighting, benches, bicycle parking and car with 80 seats half covered.
The University will take care of landscaping with artificial grass and trees in the outdoor areas.
Pepa García explained that this work is completed the first phase for the municipality of San Javier, "and is now the University of Murcia in the rest of the plot donated by the city will build the sports facilities at this school to be of great benefit to the municipality of San Javier. "
Pepa García explained that the University of Murcia is planning to undertake works in 2 or 3 phases.
Once completed, and through a cooperation agreement between the two institutions, may be used by residents of the municipality, and in particular those of Santiago de la Ribera, combining teaching schedules, as explained by the Mayor, who added in the same Convention shall be addressed using the auditorium of the Faculty, "as Santiago de la Ribera also have a hall for holding events and theatrical performances."
The Mayor has visited the site already completed before receipt of the same accompanied by the councilman of Deportes José Angel Noguera, the mayor of Public Service, Pedro Muñoz, Agustín Martínez representative with the construction company, architects, municipal, Miguel bottle, and the University of Murcia, Eduardo Batan, and by the Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Arturo Diaz.
The building of the Faculty, built by the Municipality of San Javier on a total plot of 26,978 meters squared transferred to the University is in operation since last year.
The plot aimed at building occupies 5,378 meters so that the remaining 21,000 meters will go to the sports complex.
