The departments of Parks and Gardens and Environment have been held this morning on Arbor Day to be held tomorrow, Saturday March 21 with the arrival of spring, with a tree planting by volunteers who came from the Time Bank of San Javier.
A total of 13 volunteers have spent nearly 3 hours this morning to reforest an area of the Los Rios district of San Javier where they have planted several specimens of pine and pine, lavender, myrtle, palmetto and broom, native species adapted to climate with low water needs.
From the Department of Environment reported that this activity was intended to express symbolically the importance of vegetation in our environment, and especially, the importance of trees to combat climate change and the use of native flora, and learn good environmental practices to preserve and respect the environment of our town.
