The second annual national short film festival "San Javier in short" this year include, among its novelties, the Audience Award and the viewing of the tapes from 20 May in secondary schools and pubs in San Javier, Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga.
The projections of the public may vote will last until 5 and 6 June in which it held the passes of the films selected in competition at the municipal auditorium Almansa park, as has been unveiled this morning at the poster presentation and bases for participation, the mayor of San Javier, Pepa García, the councilman of Youth, José Luis Espinosa, and the Festival Coordinator, Tiago Montealegre, local cultural association AIKE Mar Menor, which together with the Department organizes the event.
The Festival will award 3 of the papers, with the national award for best short film awarded 2,000 euros, better regional short endowed with 1,300 euros and the best local short endowment which will amount to 700 euros.
Papers may be submitted until May 20 in hand, in the Department of Youth, located in the civic center park Almansa in San Javier, or by mail to the following address: Municipality of San Javier.

The event is aimed at filmmakers under 35 years, may submit a maximum of 2 works with a minimum of 1 minute and maximum of 20.
The bases, as well as all information on the Festival can be found at www.encorto.sanjavier.es, which also will contain the projections provided from 20 May.
The mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia highlighted the efforts made to encourage participation with new scenarios and public vote, at a festival in its first edition last year, attracted nearly 300 participants shorts, and aims to establish itself as an alternative "for fans of this small but intense format" recalled the councilman of Youth, José Luis Espinosa.
Festival coordinator, Tiago Montealegre, the association AIKE Mar Menor, especially linked to the audiovisual production, has highlighted the intention of the contest to support and promote young local and regional filmmakers, mostly so they can project their work and share with the public.
The June 2 will present the official section of the Festival with the selected works will be screened outdoors in the auditorium on the 5th and 6th of June, when the awards will be given to this issue.
