The beach cleanup that took place last weekend in La Manga was a success in terms of participation and collection of garbage from the seabed in La Manga in Veneziola and Deer Island, said today Councilman Environment of the City of San Javier, José Luis Espinosa.
This action was organized by the diving school BalkySub, La Manga, in collaboration with the Department of Environment San Javier had 74 volunteers, 25 of which were transferred from San Javier by the Department, and managed to get 89 bags giant sea garbage, and more than 1,500 kilos of waste.
With this action, the Department of Environment began a program of activities that continue throughout the week.
On Tuesday, the chairman of ASEAN in Cartagena, Pedro García inaugurates an exhibition developed in collaboration with the Department of Environment of the City of San Javier, on the environmental wealth of the sand dunes of La Manga, which will be on display until 12 June at the Civic Center Park Almansa in San Javier.
The activities will come to schools, organized by level of education, throughout the week.
It has also worked with women's associations in the municipality that will approach the environmental issues through a workshop-distillation aromatherapy aromatic plants.
Next Wednesday, June 3, the library of San Javier host a talk on energy saving at home, in collaboration with Ecologists in ACTIONS, at 19:30 pm
and Friday, 5 urban ecology will be discussed in the library of La Manga at 20:30
